Riman Tech — Website Tech Detector · Privacy Policy

Riman Tech — Website Tech Detector (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that analyzes the technology stack of a website you are actively viewing. Your privacy is the design priority: all analysis happens locally in your browser and nothing is ever sent to any server.

What the Extension accesses

When — and only when — you click the Riman Tech Detector toolbar icon to scan the current page, the Extension reads the following from that one page:

  • Page HTML and the URLs of <script> / <link> tags
  • JavaScript global variables exposed by the page (e.g. framework version objects)
  • <meta> tags, Open Graph / Twitter Card tags, and structured-data blocks
  • HTTP response headers of the page (read via a same-origin request to the page’s own URL — e.g. ServerX-Powered-By, caching and security headers)
  • Cookies set on the page (names are used as detection signals)

What it does NOT do

  • It does not run in the background. No page is read, and no request is observed, unless you explicitly click the icon to scan.
  • It does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information, browsing history, or page content.
  • It does not use any analytics, tracking, or remote servers of its own.
  • It does not load or execute any remote code. All detection logic ships inside the extension package.

Data storage & sharing

No data leaves your device. Scan results live in the popup only while it is open and are discarded when you close it. The only files that ever leave your browser are the CSV or Word reports you choose to export, which are saved directly to your own computer. We do not share or transfer any data to third parties — ever.

Permissions used

  • activeTab — grants temporary access to the single tab you are viewing, only at the moment you click the icon, so the page can be analyzed.
  • scripting — injects the local analysis script into that tab to read the signals listed above. It runs only on your action.

Your rights

Because no data is collected or retained, there is nothing to request, export, or delete on our side. You can remove the Extension at any time from chrome://extensions.
