Privacy Policy — CEO of Your Life (Daily Leadership Dashboard)
Last updated: June 6, 2026
CEO of Your Life (“the Extension”) replaces your browser’s new tab with a calm leadership dashboard. This policy explains exactly what data the Extension handles, where it stays, and why.
Summary
The Extension does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your personal data with the developer or any third party for tracking, advertising, profiling, or analytics. Everything you create stays on your own device. The only optional network request is the weather feature, which you must turn on yourself.
Information the Extension stores (locally, on your device)
The following is saved only on your device using the browser’s chrome.storage.local API. It never leaves your computer and is never sent to the developer:
- Your display name (only if you choose to enter one)
- Your daily leadership focus and your priority (“to-do”) items
- Your leadership habits and their daily completion history (for streaks and progress)
- Your quick links (names and URLs)
- Your preferences (temperature units, 12/24-hour clock, weather on/off, breathing pattern)
- A short-lived cache of the most recent weather reading (only if weather is enabled)
You can erase all of this at any time by removing the Extension or clearing its storage in your browser.
Most-visited shortcuts
To help you navigate quickly, the new tab can show shortcut tiles for your most frequently visited sites:
- The list of most-visited sites is read from your browser on your device using the
topSitesAPI. It is displayed only to you, on your own new tab, and is never sent to the developer or any third party. - Site icons (favicons) are loaded from the browser’s own local cache via the built-in
faviconmechanism. No external or third-party favicon service is contacted. - The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your browsing history.
Optional weather feature (location data)
The weather widget is off by default. If you choose to turn it on in Settings:
- The Extension requests the browser’s geolocation permission.
- Your approximate latitude and longitude are sent only to the Open-Meteo public weather API () to retrieve the current local forecast and the nearest place name.
- Your location is used solely to display weather to you. It is not stored by the developer, logged, profiled, or shared with anyone else.
- Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is governed by its own privacy terms. Open-Meteo states that it does not require API keys and does not track users.
- You can disable weather at any time in Settings, which stops all location use and clears the cached weather reading.
Background photography
Background photographs are bundled inside the Extension and used under the Unsplash License (). No images are fetched from the internet at runtime, and viewing them sends no data anywhere.
Information the Extension does NOT collect
- No account, login, email, or password
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking identifiers
- No browsing history, page contents, keystrokes, or form data
- No selling or sharing of any data with third parties
Limited Use disclosure
The Extension’s use of information obtained through browser permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- Data is used only to provide the user-facing features described above.
- Data is not transferred to third parties except as needed to render weather (your approximate coordinates to Open-Meteo, only at your request).
- Data is never used or transferred for advertising, retargeting, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.
- Data is not sold, and no human reads your data.
Permissions and why they are needed
- storage — to save your focus, habits, priorities, links, and preferences on your device.
- topSites — to read your most-visited sites locally and show them as shortcut tiles on the new tab. This data stays on your device.
- favicon — to display site icons for those shortcuts from the browser’s local cache. No network requests are made to fetch icons.
- geolocation (optional) — requested only if you enable weather, to fetch your local forecast.
- host access to api.open-meteo.com / geocoding-api.open-meteo.com (optional) — granted only if you enable weather, to call the Open-Meteo weather and geocoding APIs.
Data retention and deletion
All data stays on your device until you delete it. Removing the Extension, or clearing the browser’s storage for it, permanently deletes everything it has saved. The developer holds no copy because no data is ever sent off your device.
Children’s privacy
The Extension is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
