What Course schema does

Course markup tells search engines that a page describes a specific course: what it is called, what it covers and who offers it. Google uses this data for course rich results, and AI answer engines use it to understand and cite your training offer accurately.

How to use the generator

  • Fill in the course name, a short description and the provider. These three fields matter most.
  • Add the course page URL and the provider website so the markup connects to the right entities.
  • Choose the course mode and the credential students receive, if any.
  • Copy the code and paste it into the page that describes this one course.

The output is wrapped in a ready-to-paste script tag. Empty fields are left out, so the markup only says what you can support on the page.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I paste this code?

Paste it into the <head> or body of the course page. In WordPress you can use a custom HTML block, a header code plugin, or the schema settings in Yoast or Rank Math.

Can I mark up a list of courses on one page?

Mark up each course on its own detail page. A catalog page can use an ItemList that points to those detail pages, but the full Course markup belongs on the page about that course.

Can I have several schema blocks on one page?

Yes. You can add separate JSON-LD blocks, for example Course and Organization, as long as each one matches content visible on the page.
