What Organization schema tells search engines
Organization markup is the identity card for your brand. It states your official name, website, logo, contact details and the profiles that belong to you, in a format search engines and AI assistants can read directly. When that information is clear and consistent, it is easier for them to recognize your brand as one entity and show the right logo and details.
Google has no single required field for Organization markup, but it recommends adding as many relevant properties as apply, especially name, url, logo, sameAs and contact details.
How to use the generator
- Pick the most specific type. A school should use Educational organization, and an e-commerce brand can use Online store.
- Add your name, website and logo URL. The logo should be a real image file on your own domain.
- List the profiles you control, one per line, in the sameAs field.
- Add a contact point if you have a public customer service phone or email.
- Copy the code and paste it on your home page or about page. One block per site is usually enough.
Frequently asked questions
Where should Organization markup go?
Usually on the home page, or on an about page that describes the organization. You do not need to repeat it on every page.
What is the difference between Organization and LocalBusiness?
LocalBusiness is a type of Organization for places customers visit, with hours and a physical address. Use Organization for the brand as a whole and LocalBusiness for each physical location.
Can I edit the code after generating it?
Yes. It is plain JSON-LD, so you can add any other schema.org properties by hand. Keep the commas and quotes valid.
Does this guarantee my logo shows in Google?
No. The markup makes your logo eligible, but Google decides what to display.
