What is 2xx status code

A 2xx status code is a  code indicating success in retrieving the correct response to a request. This (and other status codes) happens in the background of your website. 2xx status codes are an indication that your site code is functioning well, elements are loading properly and users are able to efficiently navigate and interact with your site.

What is a 301 redirect? 

301 redirect – This is a permanent redirect that signals search engines that a webpage has permanently moved to a new location/URL, and directs the engines to the new location. This type of redirect allows the SEO strength of an old page to be maintained and carried over to its new location.

What are the 3xx status codes? 

A 3xx status codes are these status codes indicate a redirect to search engines and browsers. 301 redirect is an example of a 3xx status code. See also “301 redirect”.

What is a 4xx status code

A 4xx status code is The are typically error code such as the “404 Not Found” or “408 Request Timeout” errors you may sometimes come across when browsing the web.

What is a 500 status response code

5xx status code  Indicates a server error. “500 Internal Server Error” is one example. If you come across a 5xx error on your own site, that tells you the problem is with the server.
