Privacy Policy — Riman Link Scanner

Last updated: 2026-04-19

Summary

Riman Link Scanner does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

What the extension does

When you click the toolbar icon, Riman Link Scanner runs a one-time script on the active tab that reads the href, text, title, rel, and target attributes of link elements on that page. The results are displayed only inside the extension popup.

What is stored

Nothing is stored. Data lives only in memory while the popup is open and is discarded as soon as the popup is closed. The extension does not use chrome.storage, cookies, localStorage, or any other persistence mechanism.

What is transmitted

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests. All processing happens locally inside your browser.

Exports

If you click Copy URLs, CSV, or JSON, the scanned links are written to your clipboard or downloaded as a file on your device. The developer never sees this data.

Permissions justification

Permission Purpose
activeTab Read the URL and inject the link-collection script into the tab you explicitly activate by clicking the toolbar icon.
scripting Required by Chrome to call chrome.scripting.executeScript, the API used to collect links.
clipboardWrite Required to copy URLs to your clipboard when you press the Copy button.

The extension has no host permissions (no <all_urls>) and runs only on demand.

Third parties

None. The extension has no analytics, no error reporting, no ads, and no external dependencies.
